Experience five decades of iconic country music photography.

Photographer Alan Messer presents his storied collection capturing the heart of country music's legends and newcomers alike. First photographing international country stars in London during the mid-1970s, Messer later relocated to Nashville - the home of country music - in 1978 to open his own studio.

What unfolded was an unparalleled opportunity to photograph the sights and sounds of Music City. Messer's distinct and intimate British photography style attracted musicians, record companies, and icons like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and more.

Beyond the Nashville scene, Messer photographed greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Ely in Austin. With numerous legendary album covers and photo sessions to his name plus a Grammy for album photography, Messer's five decades of country music archives promise a visual journey through the genre's rich history.

This exhibition offers a glimpse into Messer's vast catalogue documenting country music's most legendary eras, artists and moments through an insider's lens.
